Internationalization and innovation are the main axes of the 48 edition of the International Furniture Fair of Yecla, which this year has a record of participation involved more than 130 companies, nearly ten percent more than last year .
As news, this year the fair will be attended by trade delegations from European countries, Arabs and Americans, who have confirmed their attendance with the cooperation of the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research through the Institute of Development and the Consortium Furniture Exporter, Conexmu.
This was announced today by the Minister, Salvador Marin, the mayor of Yecla, Juan Miguel Benedito, and the director of the Fair, Inmaculada Hernandez, in presenting this new edition to be held at the fairgrounds in the town of 10 to 14 this month under the theme "Moving towards the future."
Marin said that "every year, the Fair continues to outperform, not only is the industry pioneer event in Spain, but the best national and international showcase for the furniture industry in the region.
An industry that, with support from regional government, facing the crisis innovation and international expansion, opening new markets for quality and design.
That will be evident in this new edition, which have confirmed their presence many international delegations from United Kingdom, Estonia, Russia, USA, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Morocco, among others. "
The Fair will this year with a budget of over 400.00 euros, mainly aimed at providing best services to exhibitors and the thousands of professionals in the furniture industry involved and visit the exhibition and participate in it.
Big numbers
Yecla Furniture Fair has become, over the years in the essential showcase for the latest industry and promotion of the latest lines and style of furniture design nationally and internationally.
This year, more than 130 companies and manufacturers of upholstered furniture and mattresses products, lighting and decorative furnishings, compared to 120 last year.
The exhibitor list is complete with upholstery related companies and ancillary services for the sector, besides the presence of the most prestigious journals published in Spain in furniture.
In total, the Fair has 17,000 square meters of exhibition and this year is expected to exceed the figure of 14,000 visitors recorded in the previous edition, "to consolidate this event as one of the most important sector in Spain and international level, "said Marin.
Yecla Furniture Fair is the oldest in the furniture sector in Spain, created in 1961 by a group of manufacturers.
The tradition of furniture in Yecla is heir to the ancient crafts (coopers, carpenters, tin, tools ...) that in the decade of the 50 cabinet decided to specialize in taking the first step to the birth of one of the most important industries Region of Murcia.
