Proof of this is the prize won by the extra virgin olive oil green 'Picual Deortegas', produced by the mill yeclana Deortegas, which has been third in the fourteenth edition of 'International Awards BIOL-2009', within the Spanish oils category.
According to the Council's technical director of Organic Agriculture in the Region of Murcia (fall), Pedro José Pérez Saura, this is a "well-deserved recognition," which comes to highlight the consolidation of the regional ecology.
BIOL Award, held in Plugia (Italy), is one of the most important international recognition as far as extra virgin olive oil ecological concerns.
The aim of these awards goes to disseminate and assess the extra virgin olive oils obtained from organic farming techniques, and contribute to knowledge and dissemination of farming.
The oils involved in the selection of these awards are subject to all kinds of chemical and sensory analysis by a panel of recognized standing and from abroad.
In this call have attended a total 370 samples from more than 18 countries, and delivery of these prestigious awards take place in Italy next June.
The excellent qualities of extra virgin olive oil green 'Picual Deortegas' have been key to winning this important recognition.
