CETEM, which is the organizer, celebrates its fifteenth anniversary showing the prototypes that have won the International Design Contest Furniture of the Region of Murcia from its origins
Thursday July 2 at 19h, was held at the Municipal House of Culture of Yecla, located in C / Spain 37, the opening of the exhibition "Discover 15 years of design", organized by the Furniture Technology Centre and Wood (CETEM), contains all the prototypes winners of International Design Furniture Industrial Region of Murcia, in order to see how the furniture has evolved through this contest, since it was set up in 1994.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the deputy director of the Institute of Development, Francisco Fuentes, the mayor of Yecla, Juan Miguel Benedito and the President of CETEM, Juan Carlos Muñoz.
The exhibition, which can be accessed at the Municipal House of Culture until 23 July, aims to bring the general public a retrospective of the last 15 years in furniture design, as it has a great influence of the environment, applying advances technology, fashion trends or economic situations.
Advantage which marks the fifteenth anniversary of the creation of the Technology Center and is now open within the call of the XV International Design Award for Furniture, CETEM has decided to provide exposure to a thread that linked these awards with a event or significant event, each of the years of competition since it is always much easier to locate in time by the memory of a historic event that took place at a particular time.
In addition, visitors will be allocated a catalog which lists all the data from both designers and prototypes that can be seen.
After the exhibition at the Municipal House of Culture, it will move to CETEM facilities, where it will remain open until 31 December.
