The Government delegate recalled that the Ministry of Development in early summer included in the plan of Public Works Acceleration, which this year meant to be performed more than 11 million euros

The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, today confirmed the mayor of Yecla and the spokespersons of the municipal council, with whom he has met this afternoon that the highway of the Plateau is one of the priorities of Ministry of Development in the Region of Murcia and added that he is committed to the completion of this work that "will connect more quickly and secure the area of the Region with the rest of Murcia, as well as autonomous communities Valencia and Castilla La Mancha. "

González Tovar has highlighted the complexity of the work, which is reflected in the figures for length (77'3 km) and investment (the cost is estimated at 309'2 million euros), as well as the fact that it was divided into five sections for the drafting of projects and achievement.

To further demonstrate the Government's interest in this work, González Tovar recalled that at present there are three sections running (White - Abarán, Abarán - Jumilla and Caudete - Fuente la Higuera) and that given the good progress of work of the second of these sections, the Ministry of Development decided to include it earlier this summer at Acceleration Plan Public Works.

This Plan, adopted by the Council of Ministers on June 12 involved the adoption of extraordinary measures to stimulate investment in economic activity and employment.

Among these measures, the target contained an additional 11 million euros for implementation this year of that stretch, allowing an acceleration of the pace of work.

Finally, Gonzalez Tovar has expressed his belief the Government will provide "in a timely manner" to the Altiplano of the highway that residents of the area demand.
