The Ministry of Agriculture and Water has recently completed the refurbishment of roads in the Sierra de Salinas, Protected Landscape located in the town of Yecla, which represent an investment of 170,000 euros.
The work consisted in the preparation of over 12 kilometers of road for three forest roads, the construction of four gates to regulate vehicular traffic and pedestrians as well as repair of an existing product.
The roads were equipped with the appropriate firm and keep their traces, without having to make new cuttings and embankments.
In addition, it opened ditches and culverts were built to prevent damage to the firm.
The director general of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, Pablo Fernandez, said the main objective of this project is "to improve traffic in this road, which was badly damaged."
This improvement will "help to promote recreational activities in nature, which are a factor of development of the area," said Fernandez.
Also, "will cut the cost of the work done in the forest and more effective forest management, monitoring and fire fighting," he added.
