This deposit, in addition to capturing rainwater, regulate the flow variations and avoid excess timely contributions from water, especially during periods of heavy rain in the town.
In all five modules have been built with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters, which represents an investment of two million euros.
Cerda said that "this is the first tank of storm that comes into operation under the General Plan Regional Sanitation" and stressed that this new depot has been effective after recent rains recently in the town. "
He stressed that this infrastructure is one step more "advanced" on integrated water management of cities, as is the case of Yecla, which has a next-generation sewage tertiary treatment system, especially designed for reuse water in agriculture.
Yecla now recovers 1.5 hectometres of urban wastewater.
In total the municipality has invested eight million euros in the Plan of Drainage in the set of sewers and treatment plants.
Is also expected to spend in short, an additional investment of € 230,000 for a sewage outfall.
The counselor noted that "it is a priority of the regional government to be referenced in the management of water, and here we are putting our best effort," adding that soon will open storm deposits which the Ministry is building in other cities such as Cartagena and Alguazas.
