Yecla is converted from 9 to 13 March in the premier showcase of new industry trends
The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marin, and the mayor of Yecla, Juan Miguel Benedito, presented this morning the 49 edition of the International Furniture Fair of Yecla that have the largest delegation of professionals from other countries in its history.
In particular, the Ministry, through the Instituto de Fomento (info), provided that more than fifty representatives of companies from 14 countries are present in the sample and hold business meetings with furniture companies in the region.
Yecla Fair has been incorporated as an additional activity of Overseas Promotion Plan of the Region of Murcia, 2010, in order to enhance the international scope of the Fair and enhance the promotion of the furniture sector in the region and abroad.
Marin said that "from the regional government are making a major effort to make our companies better access in the international market to offer their products.
It is a comprehensive international strategy is reflected in the significant international presence to be reckoned with this year's best showcase of our industry and wood furniture, the Furniture Fair of Yecla.
In particular, international delegations come from Ukraine, Russia, Japan, Germany, Benelux, Brazil, Chile, France, Hungary, Mexico, Panama, Qatar, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Also, the Minister recalled that "the assistance of these offices in the region is to enable the location of a production, proving the important efforts being made this strategic regional industry R & D, design and technologically advanced processes friendly environment, giving them a competitive advantage. "
'The Evolution of Species'
The 49 Yecla Furniture Fair held this year under the slogan 'The evolution of the species' referring to the theory of Darwinian evolution.
"The furniture industry in the region will survive and will emerge stronger from the crisis, and that is making a major commitment to innovation, design, business cooperation and internationalization, a competitive process driven by the policies that we develop from the region" said Marin.
A total of 17,000 square meters of exhibition brings together around 130 exhibitors, 70 of the Region, which include manufacturers of upholstered furniture and mattresses products, lighting and decorative furnishings.
The list is complemented with upholstery and related business support services for the sector, making the Fair in the premier showcase of new trends in the sector between 9 and 13 March.
In order to facilitate the participation of more companies in the region and offer visitors a wide and varied supply of regional furniture, the Minister recalled that, through the Trade Promotion Plan, info eligible for 50 percent of the space hired by each firm at the fairgrounds.
This trade event, which expects to surpass the figure of 14,000 visitors recorded in the previous edition, serves also to assess market needs and the evolution of design.
Most professionals who attend this fair are importers, wholesalers, chain stores, design studios and interior designers with extensive experience throughout Spain and abroad.
