In relation to the press release issued by the Municipal Socialist Group in which it accused the Education Department of the alleged loss of a grant for prevention of truancy, the Councillor for Education, Maria del Carmen Frese would make the following Clarifications
1 - The Department of Education has not lost any grant made possible.
In Yecla, nursery and primary education is no truancy.
2 - The Department of Education is a pioneer, at the regional level, in prevention of truancy, which has been working since 2004, along with social policy councils, police, traffic and public safety and the Ministry of Education .
Recently signed an agreement that has created an occupational training center in the old school of San José de Calasanz, as a preventive action against truancy.
Finally I would like Socialist Municipal Group intend to devote to work for issues important in education for Yecla and not on issues like these that are well attended.
It seems to follow the instructions of the party to divert attention from the important issues that citizens are getting for Yecla in education.
For example, these days the public BORM grant aid of 700 thousand euros to start work on third institute and yesterday inaugurated a sports hall for school use.
