That in 2009 were 4,159 cities in 88 countries where the lights of its most representative monuments as a symbol of their commitment.
The WWF did that over 1,000 million people will join the initiative, which is almost a sixth of world population.
And every year there are even more reasons to join this global movement to combat climate change, so Earth Hour 2010 will be the biggest call to action ever organized.
Will demonstrate that, acting together, we are all part of the solution to climate change, despite the poor agreement in Copenhagen.
The WWF's Earth Hour aims once again to involve cities and individuals to show global support for action against climate change.
It is for this reason that
REQUIRED TO MR.
MAYOR:
1 .- The urgent meeting of the Board of Spokesmen for the city of Yecla adhere to this initiative (The WWF's Earth Hour) to consider the commitment and solidarity of the yeclanos to support and demand solutions to climate change.
2 .- That the Mayor-President of the Hon.
Yecla City Council, to develop one side inviting citizens who wish to join this particular and individual initiative.
3 .- That next Saturday, March 27, at 20:30.
to 21:30, to manifest this commitment with the shutdown of monuments and landmarks of our city as a gesture of global action on climate and climate change.
