The regional government has given approval for a grant for a total of 178,025 euros to the Association of Mentally Handicapped Yecla (Ampy) and the Association of Paraplegics and Physically Handicapped Great Murcia (Aspaym) for the implementation of programs aimed at rehabilitation, care and placement of persons with disabilities.
The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration Ampy granted a subsidy of 98,078 euros for programs and activities of occupational center Virgen de la Esperanza, located on Calle Narciso Yepes of Yecla.
In these facilities work to develop a socio-professional integration of the mentally handicapped that includes occupational therapy, job training, personal skills, communication and family counseling.
Moreover, Social Policy 79,947 euros to subsidize Aspaym association, whose activities focus primarily on programs that improve the quality and conditions of life for people with severe physical disabilities, and to support their personal autonomy and social integration work.
