The collection of the three fractions (glass, paper and packaging), established in 2002, has developed very positively over the years with significant growth.
Nonetheless, since 2008 as a result of the economic crisis and the fall in consumption, this growth has stagnated and has even been negative.
Testimonial data almost 2002 have gone to 2009, where the means of collecting the different fractions are among the highest in the region and well above the regional average.

Can be seen that the glass has been multiplied by 1.5, paper 2 and 3-light packaging.
Regardless of the environmental benefit that this implies, is very important to the economic cost to the City Council and therefore for all yeclanos assumed that service.
The glass collection is done entirely at the expense of Ecovidrio authorized by Camacho Recycling Manager, with zero cost for the council.
The City Council for this service is only available to the public land for the location of containers.
In the case of light packaging and paper and cardboard collection and transportation is done by the City Council, and Ecoembes pays an amount per ton in respect of the additional costs of collection and transport of selective.
With the new service launched in late 2007, the cost to the City Council of the revenue collection and that the City has been billing has been done to Ecoembes:

As noted, virtually self-financing service, so the cost is virtually zero.
It seems clear that in the absence of the crisis had continued growth in kg of collection and the service had generated more revenue than costs.
