Yecla Mayor, Juan Miguel Benedito, accompanied by municipal spokesmen met this morning in Murcia with the Acting President of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Manuel Aldeguer, to study measures to ensure drinking water supply population in the future.
The meeting has considered two alternatives: to request the transfer of use of water from a nearby irrigation community (Cingle-Cuhillo the aquifer that is currently supplying the population) or make a new survey.
The Mayor has indicated that the meeting took place in a receptive environment by the CHS.
The City will manage the two alternatives that have been considered.
In short dates are going to commission a study to determine where polling in aquifers to ensure the supply to the population over a long period of time, as explained by the first municipal authority.
